Telegram Signs $300M Deal With Elon Musk's xAI to Integrate Grok Into Its Messaging App, TON up 16%

A monumental partnership has been forged between Telegram and Elon Musk's artificial intelligence venture, xAI, with Telegram signing a $300 million deal to integrate xAI's Grok chatbot into its widely used messaging application. This strategic collaboration is set to bring advanced AI capabilities to Telegram's over one billion users, signifying a major leap for both companies in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Under the terms of the one-year agreement, xAI will not only pay Telegram a substantial $300 million in a combination of cash and equity, but also commit to sharing 50% of all subscription revenue generated from Grok Premium and Premium+ services sold through the Telegram platform. This mutually beneficial arrangement provides xAI with a massive distribution channel for its AI technology, while offering Telegram a significant new revenue stream beyond its traditional advertising and premium subscription models. Following the news of the xAI partnership, TON's price surged by an impressive 16%, reflecting heightened investor optimism. Given TON's role as the exclusive blockchain infrastructure for Telegram's mini-app ecosystem and the sole cryptocurrency for non-fiat payments within the platform, market participants are betting that the integration of Grok will significantly expand TON's utility and demand.
